Font Auto Activation

How to solve missing fonts in your design document? Missing fonts will destroy the design, and sometimes make team collaboration impossible. You can find every missing font in the document, and activate them one by one, however, RightFont can do that automatically for you.

Most solutions require you to install a plugin to achieve that, we do not. RightFont simply works with Adobe creative apps, Sketch, Affinity Designer or any other design app.

Auto Activation Workflow

Open Preferences - Auto Activation, you can see the list of apps installed on your computer which supports Font Auto Activation. Click any app icon to disable the auto activation feature, if you want to enable, click the icon again.

When you open any document that contains missing fonts, a Missing Fonts dialog will display. You have the choice to activate all these fonts, or skip this time.

If you don’t want to see this dialog each time some missing fonts had been found and activated, enable the option Silent Mode in Preferences.

Not working in Adobe apps?

Due to automation control limit introduced in macOS Mojave, you have to grant the permission to allow RightFont control apps like Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, etc. When you see below dialog, please click OK button. It's done.

If you believe that you had chosen Don't Allow before, don't worry, it's quite easy to fix it.

First, open System Preferences on your Mac, click Security & Privacy and you'll see the below preference window. Then select Automation on the left in this window. The last step is to make all apps under RightFont 5 are checked.
