We’re pleased to introduce New Fonts Filter Panel in version 5.3!
After a long period of development, our filter panel is now live. This panel can help filtering the fonts you want by classification, width or weight with simple click.
So let’s take a look at what’s added.
One-click Fonts Filter
By clicking the Search icon in the search field, you are able to toggle the filter panel, which provides you some options to help finding the right font quickly. Below are supported filter queries.
Filter by Font Classification
Type classification is a system used to divide typefaces into categories. Now you can filter your fonts by eight classifications using this panel.
Filter by Font Weight & Width
You have the choice to filter fonts by their weight and width property.
Filter by Font Language
Search for fonts which have dedicated language support.
Classify Fonts Manually
Since most fonts imported into RightFont will be classified automatically based on the data from various foundries. However, you will still encounter many uncatalogued fonts, for these fonts, you are able to classify them through context menu by right clicking.
Some other improvements and bug fixes
We fixed the conflict issue with Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign, and minor UX problems within our app. For people who need to reveal font files in Finder, we added the option Show in Finder in the right-click menu on fonts.
Please take a moment to try out these new features and improvements and contact us if you have any questions.
